And since 6 to 12 months (don't know exactly) they even have a browser plugin, which is even more safe according to them and more convenient. That's why I chose NordVPN, who provides detailed 'how to's' to set it up. I read that Mullvad (1 of best VPN services imo) for instance also can be setup with your torrent client, but not for your browser for instance. This means that when you want to use your VPN for browsing and you turned it off for another task and you forget to turn it on for browsing or torrenting, you will not be safe/protected. You'll constantly need to disconnect and connect to your VPN. And if you have activities where you don't want to have the VPN negatively influence your tasks and/or performance. So in that case, with most VPN services you need to constantly run the software. I tried this out myself and noticed a higher ping and (more) lag. So again, a VPN can only influence your game experience in a negative way I feel. Unless you're a pro gamer who worries about DDOS attacks or something. I also game quite a lot, something you also don't need a VPN for. It only might influence your download speeds in a negative way. If you download on newsgroups, you have SSL so you don't need the 'protection' from a VPN. So the VPN runs all the time and influences all your actions on the internet. In my experience most VPN services need to run software to use it. In my opinion it only makes sense (for me personally) to use a VPN in a browser and for torrenting. NordVPN is a well-known VPN service that offers advanced security features, fast connection speeds, and a large server network. But for me, convenience of use is one of the most important things. I use NordVPN, I tried a few others which are considered better or good in general.
